I’m very fortunate to be in a position where I can sustain full-time employment with two chronic conditions due to open communication between myself and my employer to make reasonable adjustments within the workplace. I strongly feel that employers need to understand that having open and honest communication about an employee’s condition will allow for a better understanding of flexible working arrangements and reasonable adjustments that could be implemented, so I’m proud to support the ALLIANCE’s call to fund a My Skills, My Strengths, My Right to Work Development Unit to support individuals and organisations in the new Scottish employability framework.  Kirsty, South Ayrshire
